BetBTC is a licensed online sports gambling site that specializes in bitcoin betting. It does not feature an extensive range of sports but it has its advantages. It also offers a bitcoin dice game.

This online BTC gambling site has a number of highlight features. For one, it supports anonymous online betting. It also does not have betting limits and allows you to choose your odds. To make things more exciting, the site also features user-versus-user sports betting. BetBTC has a number of features that can make it an attractive option for BTC sports betting enthusiasts. Its dice game, moreover, is comparable to what single-game sites like Primedice have to offer.
Still, this bitcoin gambling site is far from perfect. It has some drawbacks that may make you doubt if you would really want to be one of its players. Get to know what BetBTC’s positive and not so positive sides by going over our in-depth BetBTC review.

Account Registration – You May Play without Registering

Signing up for a BetBTC account is a quick and easy process. If your fingers are fast enough in typing your username and password, you might be able to complete the account registration process in less than five seconds. You will only be required to enter your username and password and that’s it. You will be automatically logged into your account after completing the registration. You will not be asked for an email address. Obviously, there is no email verification needed. You have the option, though, to add an email address as you access the account dashboard. You can also secure your account further by enabling two-factor authentication.

However, if you think the quickness and ease of the account registration process here is not that fast enough, you have the option to ditch account registration altogether. You can immediately proceed to BTC gambling on the site without signing up for an account. Just click on the odds from the market and confirm your selection on the bet slip. The bet slip is labeled “Anonymous” in this case.

Account Dashboard

The BetBTC account dashboard is different from most other account dashboards. Nevertheless, it is intuitive. It shouldn’t be that difficult to figure it out. There’s a separate tab for monitoring bets, a different tab for profit and loss tracking, an account settings tab, a funds management, a tab for the account statement, and a separate interface for managing the referral account.

There are only two odds formats available on BetBTC. These are American and Decimal, and you can switch from one to the other through the Account Settings tab. The Funds Management tab is basically the equivalent to the Cashier in most other online casinos.

The BetBTC Games

There are only two games on BetBTC: the bitcoin sportsbook and bitcoin dice game.

Sportsbook

By default, the game shown on the homepage is the sportsbook. It features betting on soccer, tennis, cricket, basketball, horse racing, motor sport, ice hockey, snooker, and baseball events.  It looks just like most other sportsbooks. The sports lists are on the left side while the event details are at the center and the bet slip is on the right side of the site. If you have played on a sports betting site before, this setup should already be familiar to you.

The site features the so-called BetBTC Trading, which is highlighted on the site as what makes BetBTC unique. Trading means that there are more than one bet in a market, which allows you to improve your position or lock in a profit on all of the possible results of an event. This is what’s being called by many players as a Green Book because all possible results entail a profit. This setup also means that your liability is reduced to zero since there are no funds tied up from your account. This allows you to place more bets on other markets.

Casino Dice

The second game is the Casino Dice or bitcoin dice game. It’s a typical dice game. To play, you just have to set your Chance and Stake by adjusting the sliders or by entering the specific numbers you want (0.01 to 98 for Chance and 0.000001 to 1.0 for Stake). As you set your Chance and Stake, the payout and potential profit details automatically adjust. You then have to proceed to rolling the dice by choosing either the green or red button. The green button means that you’re betting that the result will be less than the Chance number you set while the red button means that you are betting that the result will be greater than 99.99 minus the Chance number you set.

The dice game has an auto betting function, which should already be familiar to you if you are fond of playing dice games. With auto-betting, you can automatically “Roll Below” or “Roll Above” after setting a specific number of rolls, chance per roll, stake per roll, and potential profit per roll.

There are no Play for Fun or Demo version for either the sportsbook and bitcoin dice game on BetBTC. You really have to place a deposit before you can play.

BetBTC Game Software and Fairness

BetBTC appears to be using its own game software for the sportsbook and for the bitcoin dice game. There are no details regarding the software presented on the site. The only notable information is that the dice game is provably fair. There’s a provability widget that comes with the game. It’s the Provably Fair button near the lower left corner of the dice game interface. Clicking on this button opens a modal window that shows the user and server seeds as well as links to information on how the number results are generated and to an online results verification tool.

BetBTC Is Mobile-Friendly

If you intend to enjoy BetBTC on your smartphone or tablet, here’s good news for you. This bitcoin betting site is mobile-friendly. It automatically adjusts its layout and the amount of content shown based the display size of the device used to access it. It does not provide a dedicated Android, iOS, or Windows mobile app for playing the games on mobile devices. However, the mobile-friendly site suffices in providing a playing experience comparable to what you can get from a typical bitcoin mobile casino.

Currencies, Deposits, Withdrawals, Fees, and Betting Particulars

BetBTC, as the name implies, uses bitcoins / BTC. No other currency is accepted on the site. Bets are made by depositing bitcoins into the bitcoin deposit address shown on the site. Nevertheless, the site accepts BitGo Instant payments.

Deposits need to have 1 confirmation if they are equal to or lower than 1 BTC. For deposits higher than 1 BTC, 3 confirmations are required before they can be reflected on your account.

The minimum deposit that can be made is 0.001 BTC (yes, it’s lower than the minimum sportsbook bet). If you make a deposit lower than 0.001 BTC, the amount will be forfeited or considered a donation. As such, refunds will not be made. There is no maximum limit for the deposit amount.

For withdrawals, the process is similarly simple. You just have to go to the Funds Management tab for your account dashboard and go to the Withdrawals section. The minimum withdrawal amount is 0.005 BTC. Every withdrawal transaction is a charged a network fee of 0.00015 BTC, which is automatically deducted from the amount being withdrawn. Withdrawals usually take up to 24 hours to be processed.

The minimum bet on BetBTC (for the sportsbook) is 0.01 BTC. There is no maximum bet limit. There are also no restrictions on winnings imposed on this site.

No Bonuses, Promotions, VIP Rewards, Faucet, and Affiliate Program

Unfortunately, BetBTC is not one of those online casinos that offer bonuses, promotions, and rewards. There is no deposit bonus offered by the site. Don’t expect a sign up bonus or a reload bonus on BetBTC. This bitcoin betting site also does not have VIP programs and rewards, and does not even feature a player referral or affiliate program. Moreover, the bitcoin dice game does not have a bitcoin faucet. You really need to make a deposit to be able to play.

Country Restrictions , Anonymity, and Site Languages

BetBTC’s Terms of Service specifically mentions that players from the UK are not accepted to play on the site. We sent an inquiry to clarify if US players are accepted. We were told, via email, that only UK players were being blocked at the time we did this BetBTC review and players all other countries are allowed to register for an account and play. This site, as such, can be considered a US-accepted bitcoin casino or BTC sports betting site. However, the following requirements must also be satisfied: the player is of legal age and that there are no laws in the player’s country or jurisdiction that prohibit bitcoin gambling on sites like BetBTC.

You will know if you are not allowed to use BetBTC’s gaming services if you encounter the prompt shown below as you load the BetBTC website. The site uses an IP blocking system.

As already mentioned earlier, BetBTC supports player anonymity. Although the account dashboard has a section for updating the player profile, it is not a requirement. There is nothing in the site’s Terms of Service that says that it is a must for players to complete the profile page, let alone verify their accounts or provide proofs of identity. More importantly, we can state with certainty in this BetBTC review that this site offers the perks of an anonymous bitcoin casino because it provides the option to not sign up for an account and simply proceed to making anonymous bets.

Despite being aimed at serving players in different parts of the world, the BetBTC website is only available in the English language.

BetBTC Player Support

Player support on BetBTC is mainly provided through live chat and email (via Zendesk). For email support, you have to go to the Contact page (link from the homepage indicated below). For live, chat just click on the green chat button on the lower right corner of the site. Unfortunately, we failed to test the responsiveness of the live chat facility because it was offline at the time we did this BetBTC review. Email support, however, is responsive. We received a prompt response for the question we sent. We couldn’t be sure, though, about the availability of support since there’s no schedule published on the site.

BetBTC License, Regulation, and Security

BetBTC is a licensed online gambling site. We couldn’t fully refer to it as a licensed bitcoin casino, though, since it is mostly a sports betting site. The only casino game it offers, as mentioned earlier, is its casino dice game. As indicated on its website, BetBTC is licensed in San Jose, Costa Rica.

When it comes to security, BetBTC guarantees the protection of accounts and transactions through a number of systems. These include the option to enable two-factor authentication, site audit, and cold storage for the bitcoins deposited.

Notes

Although it arguably appears boring, the BetBTC website is neatly presented. It’s easy to find the things you need to find on it. The most important links are on the lower part of the left column – the links for the FAQs, Contact Us, Betting Rules, and General Terms. Don’t be misled by first impressions. This BTC gambling site will eventually grow on you as you spend more time getting to know it better. It’s just unfortunate that it lacks deposit bonuses, a bitcoin faucet for the dice game, and an affiliate program.
