A licensed online casino, AdmiralSpot Casino is one of the new players in the online gambling industry that accepts bitcoins. It is one of the better looking online casinos we’ve encountered. The design is dark and simple but attractive and easy to navigate. Well, it appears to have a lot of animations and maybe some heavy scripts that make it require a fast internet connection. Those with slower broadband plans may have to upgrade if they want to play here.

AdmiralSpot Casino is a promising new online bitcoin casino. It looks good and has a good collection of games, which are supposedly provably fair according to the site (more on this later). However, it needs more polishing. The site still has some missing features and the text contents have some inconsistencies. It also doesn’t help that this online gambling site does not favor anonymity even though players can play using bitcoins exclusively. Additionally, AdmiralSpot Casino does not accept players who are US citizens or residents. All these, however, don’t necessarily overwhelm the good and promising things to find in AdmiralSpot.

Account Registration

Signing up for an AdmiralSpot Casino account is relatively quick. Just click on the orange-y Register button on the upper right corner of the site to open the account registration form. This form only asks for an email address and password, and also asks you to specify the currency you want to use. There’s a phone number field but filling it out is only optional. The process is similar to what you can expect in most other online casinos.  Once your don’t completing the form and submitting it, you will receive an email regarding your registration with a confirmation link in it. After you click on this confirmation link, you will be directed to the AdmiralSpot website and automatically logged into your account. The process shouldn’t take more than 20 seconds.

AdmiralSpot Casino User Interface and Site Languages

As earlier mentioned, the AdmiralSpot Casino website is simple and intuitive. It shouldn’t be difficult finding your way around it. Unless you have a slow internet connection (lower than 3Mbps), you should be able to normally browse around the site just like the way you would with most other online casinos. Upon logging in, you will be led to the Deposit page by default. To go to your account dashboard, click on your email address to display the dropdown menu and click on My Account.

In the My Account interface or the account dashboard, you can add more personal details, change your password, view your games and tournament history, monitor your bonuses, read system messages, and send ID documents/proofs if needed. Unfortunately, the details you entered during account registration are no longer modifiable. The currency, for example, can no longer be changed although this feature may be changed later on as the site gets more polished.

There’s no option to enable two-factor authentication but you can add a PIN to your account so transactions cannot be easily completed even if someone gets to learn about your username and password.

AdmiralSpot imposes an automatic session timeout that is relatively short so don’t be surprised if you would find yourself having to sign in again after a moment of being idle.

If you prefer seeing the AdmiralSpot website in other languages, there’s a language toggle at the footer part of the site. You can change the language to German, Spanish, Italian, French, Norwegian, Polish, Russian, Albanian, Serbian, and Czech. Not all parts of the website, however, are translated as you switch to different languages. You will still find other texts, the Terms and Conditions for example, that are in English.

AdmiralSpot Casino Games

At the time we did this review, AdmiralSpot had 70 games in its collection. It’s a growing collection so more games are expected to be added. These games are divided into three categories: Slot Machines, Roulette and Table Games, and Video Poker.

• As usual, the Slots category had the most number of games: 48. These slot machine games  feature a wide variety of themes, from fruits to wizards, sports, and animals.
• The Roulette and Table Games category had 5 games, namely Extra Bingo, Casino Roulette, Gold Roulette, Blackjack, and Caribbean Beach Poker.
• Lastly, the Video Poker category had 6 games. These were Joker Poker, Magic Poker, Turbo Poker, American Poker Gold, American Poker V, and Three Cards.

Yes, they don’t add up to 70. There’s a “New” category which had 4 games in it but they still don’t add up to 70. Blame the site’s being new for it. The categories apparently are not final and more games are very likely going to be added soon. Still, this shouldn’t make this online casino less enjoyable.

The games are relatively good. Game graphics are good, great for some. There’s the obligatory casino music and sound effects, which can be quite loud (thankfully there’s a volume toggle near the lower left corner so you can quickly decrease the volume as you please). The downside of these, though, is that game loading time may be long especially if you are using a slow internet connection. The games are set to fill up the full web browser window and adjust depending on the size of the browser window, so you will end up with a distorted game interface if you resize your browser. Good thing is that you can quickly switch to fullscreen mode with a tap on the space bar.

There’s a search bar you can use to look for games but we’re not sure if it makes sense using it. It only searches games based on their titles. It can’t search based on the game category or type. For example, if you search with the keyword “slots,” you will end up with no results even though most of the games on the site are actually slots.

All games come with Play for Free options, which means we can consider AdmiralSpot Casino as a free bitcoin casino. You can enjoy the games available on the site without having to spend money on them. Buf of course, this also means you will not be winning anything. You just get to enjoy the games without the prizes.

AdmiralSpot Casino Software and Game Fairness

We couldn’t easily determine what game software AdmiralSpot Casino uses because the game don’t have branding in them and there’s nothing mentioned on the website. After some digging, though, the games are apparently from Wazdan, as indicated by the Wazdan logo on the footer part of the website. Wazdan is not a popular online game software provider (at least for now) but its games are said to be certified by NMi.

AdmiralSpot claims that its games are provably fair but it does not provide widgets to make it easy to verify if the game results are fair. The widget may eventually be added. AdmiralSpot Casino is quite new (at the time this review was made), after all.

AdmiralSpot Casino Is Mobile-Friendly

If mobile-friendliness is something important to you, AdmiralSpot can be a good choice. It makes use of a responsive web design that makes the site to automatically adapt to the display size of the device used to access it. Google’s mobile website speed testing tool gives it a mobile friendliness score of 99/100 (good) although it has a mobile speed score of 21/100 (poor) and a desktop speed score of 16/100 (poor).

The mobile and desktop speed scores don’t really reflect the actual experience when accessing AdmiralSpot. A 21/100 mobile speed score and 16/100 score for desktop speed may sound extremely bad but it’s not the case. It’s not really that bad provided that you have an internet connection speed of 3 Mbps or higher. Apparently, the website demands fast connections but who would want to engage in online gambling with a connection lower than 3 Mbps? It certainly makes more sense spending some for upgrading your internet connection first before thinking of playing at an online casino.

Currencies Accepted, Deposits, and Withdrawals

AdmiralSpot accepts the following currencies: Bitcoin (BTC in mBTC denomination), euro (EUR), British pound (GBP), US dollar (USD), and Polish zloty (PLN).

As stated on its website, AdmiralSpot accepts deposits through Skrill, Neteller, Visa, MasterCard, and bitcoin. The availability of these deposit options, however, depend on the currency you set for your account. The non-bitcoin options (Skrill, Neteller, Visa, etc) are not available if you choose bitcoin as your currency during registration. Unfortunately, it appears you can’t change your currency once you have already set it. You may have to contact AdmiralSpot Casino’s admin to do this change. Also, it appears you can’t withdraw money in a currency different from the currency you selected during account registration. The minimum and maximum deposit and withdrawal amounts are indicated on the Deposit and Withdrawal interfaces.

• 100% Welcome Bonus of up to 500 mBTC. This is AdmiralSpot’s first deposit bonus offer. Wagering requirement is 25x of the sum of the amount deposited and the bonus obtained. This wagering/playthrough requirement should be completed within 30 days.
• No Deposit Bonus of up to 50 mBTC. You need a bonus code to get this bonus. Contact AdmiralSpot Casino for the details through [email protected]. The wagering requirement for this bonus is 100x, which should be completed within 30 days.
• 10% Bonus for Each Deposit of up to 250 EUR. This is basically what’s called the reload bonus in other online casinos. Wagering requirement is 25x of the sum of the amount deposited and the bonus obtained.
• 10 mBTC Refer a Friend Bonus. The bonus is 10 EUR for every player referred to the casino. It has a wagering requirement of 50x.

We initially thought that the Refer a Friend bonus is the same as AdmiralSpot’s affiliate marketing program. We were wrong. There’s a separate affiliate program. There’s an Affiliate Program link on the footer part of the site which points to a different website. This affiliate program offers a revenue share of up to 35%.

We expect AdmiralSpot to eventually have a VIP programs and rewards system since the account dashboard has a field for VIP points.

Country Restrictions

Unfortunately, AdmiralSpot Casino is a non-US bitcoin casino. It does not accept players who are residents or citizens of the United States. This is actually the only country restriction mentioned on AdmiralSpot Casino’s website. Players from other countries are presumably accepted provided that the players are of legal age and that there are no laws against online gambling, bitcoin gambling to be specific, in their country or jurisdiction. It is deemed the responsibility of players to determine whether or not online gambling is legal in their country.

Policy on Anonymity
