Slots of Vegas is touted as “one of the most exciting online gambling communities in the online industry.” It claims to offer first class service and some of the best promotions online casinos can offer. It’s a well designed online casino that offers different ways of playing. You can download the site’s gaming client or just play the games through your web browser.

Despite the name, Slots of Vegas offers more than just slots games. It also features several other casino games including table games, video poker, card games, roulette, bingo, dice, and craps. There’s a good variety of games to choose from. Additionally, Slots of Vegas offers a number of bonuses, player rewards, and promotions.

This bitcoin-accepting gambling site also features a Central Disputes System (CDS). This is a system through which players can conveniently file a claim regarding any issue encountered on the site. It makes it easier to report problems in the games or other issues experienced by players. It’s a great supplement to the site’s 24/7 player support, which is available by phone, email, and live chat.

Account Registration

To sign up for a Slots of Vegas account, just click on the Sign Up button near the upper right corner of the site to go to the account registration form. The process shouldn’t take more than 2 minutes. Compared to other bitcoin casinos, the account registration process on Slots of Vegas is slightly longer.

You will be asked for your first name, last name, email address, birthdate, and gender on the first step. On the second step, you will be asked to enter a preferred name (your username for logging in) and password. On the third and last step, you will have to enter your location and contact details. You will have to fill out a form asking for your street address, city, state, postal code, and mobile phone number.

The site is able to determine the location of those who attempt to register for an account.  It automatically denies registration to those who are in banned countries. At first, we thought that the list of countries on the third step of the account registration process is already the list of the countries not prohibited on the site. Apparently, even if your country is included in the dropdown list, your account registration may still be denied.

For example, if you are from the United States, your account registration may not be approved because not all states are accepted on the site. Some states have particularly stricter laws when it comes to online gambling.

We contacted Slots of Vegas support to ask if it’s possible to use proxies to trick the system into granting account registration for those who are in banned countries. We were told that it is possible to do this but the resulting account will not be allowed to play the games with real money or bitcoins. Players who fake their location will have their accounts terminated.

Slots of Vegas User Interface

The Slots of Vegas interface is not difficult to figure out although it’s slightly different as compared to the interface of most other online bitcoin casinos. What’s notably different is the absence of a profile page. What you will find on the site is the My Achievements page, which is slightly similar to a profile page but does not have many of the usual features you would expect. It presents the player’s name, location, and avatar. However, it does not show options for editing profile details and changing the password. It also does not ask you to specify a currency, set your timezone, or enable two-factor authentication. It only shows a long achievement list.

It makes sense that Slots of Vegas is very meticulous with its account registration process because, apparently, the player details submitted are no longer modifiable. What’s been entered during the registration will be permanent for the account.

There may be some confusion when it comes to making deposits. If you click on the Banking link on the top part of the site, you will be taken to a page that shows the different deposit methods available. However, there is no actual interface for making deposits. It took us some time to find the right links to click to go to the deposit interface. Apparently, you have to click on the Instant Play link first and find the Cashier link to open the modal window through which you will be making your deposits.

For the downloadable version of the casino, there’s a “Getting Started” guide that details everything you need to do in installing the gaming client and playing the games. You should be able to quickly get everything set by following this visual guide. There are screenshots provided in this guide.

One important thing we have to note about Slots of Vegas, though, is its relatively slow page loading. The modal windows usually take some time to load. Opening these modal windows, like opening the Banking/Cashier interface, may also slow down or even freeze browsers, especially in computers with relatively old specs.

Also, Slots of Vegas has a relatively short automatic session timeout. It’s not something we want to complain about, though. It’s actually arguably good for your security that it quickly logs you out automatically after a short period of inactivity.

UPDATE: We used Firefox to do this review. Slots of Vegas recommends Chrome. We tried the site on Chrome and it does work a little better. The Chrome browser, at the very least, does not stutter when opening modal windows.

Slots of Vegas Games

Slots of vegas claims to offer more than 130 games on its About Us page. We actually found significantly more games when we did our rough count.

• The site’s collection of online slots has over 140 game.
• There are 15 table games on the site, including blackjack, baccarat, poker, red dog, pontoon, and rummy.
• The site has 16 video poker games. These include Aces and Eights, Bonus Poker, All American Poker, Bonus Deuces Wild, Jacks or Better, Sevens Wild, Joker Poker, and Double Double Jackpot Poker.
• Slots of Vegas also features more than a dozen specialty games which include the following titles: American and European Roulette, Sic Bo, Magic 7’s, Bonus Bingo, Craps, and Hot Dice.

The games all have Real Money and Practice versions. As such, we can consider Slots of Vegas as a free bitcoin casino. It allows players to enjoy the games even without having to spend bitcoins or real money on the site.

Unfortunately, the games require flash. With many browsers nowadays ditching flash, there’s that added bit of inconvenience in having to install the flash plugin.

The games are slightly slow to load but once they are loaded, you are unlikely to encounter problems except maybe when the games are really unavailable. Also, they are in the rather old 4:3 aspect ratio.

Game Software and Fairness

The games on Slots of Vegas are mostly from Real Time Gaming (RTG). The site does not state that the games are provably fair and there are also no fairness testing buttons on the games. However, Slots of Vegas states that its whole online casino operation is certified by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI). The games are supposed to be reliable and free from any form of cheating. Also, as mentioned in the site’s FAQ page, the Random Number Generator (RNG) used by the games has been tested by Technical Systems Testing (TST).

Slots of Vegas Is Mobile-Friendly

Slots of Vegas is mobile friendly. It employs responsive web design. The layout and content of the site automatically adjust to suit the size of the device display used in accessing the site. Slots of Vegas has 55/100 (poor) and 69/100 (fair) speed test scores on Google’s speed test. It could use some optimization for a better performance on mobile devices.

Currencies Accepted, Deposits, and Withdrawals

Slots of Vegas supports US dollar (USD) and bitcoins (BTC). The site presents amounts in all games in USD. Your BTC deposits will be automatically converted into their BTC equivalent.

As explained earlier, you have to click on the Instant Play link first then click on the Cashier link so you can open the modal window for the deposit interface. You can make deposits through credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and American Express), bitcoin deposit, and through deposits via telephone and live chat assistance. Minimum and maximum deposit amounts for bitcoin are 20 USD and 100 USD respectively. For credit cards, the minimum and maximum deposit amounts are 30 USD and 250 USD respectively.

Withdrawals can be done through Neteller, bank wire transfer, check, and bitcoin. If you intend to withdraw in bitcoins, though, you need to send an email to [email protected] indicating your bitcoin wallet address and using the subject “Bitcoin Payment.” Withdrawals need to be at least 100 USD but not more than 2,500 USD.

Bonuses, Promotions, Player Rewards, and Affiliate Program

There are many bonuses and promotions available on Slots of Vegas. They can be summed up as follows:

• 250% Signup Bonus. Code: NEW250. This bonus is applicable only to slots and keno games, and is equivalent to 250% of the deposit you make but not more than 2,500 USD. Minimum deposit required is 30 USD.
• 190% Signup Bonus. Code: NEW190. This applies to all allowed games. It is 190% of the deposit made but not greater than 1,900 USD. Deposit at least 30 USD to avail of this bonus.
• Daily Specials, Weekly Promotion, and Monthly Promotions. These are not fixed bonuses or promotions so you really have to go to the Promotions page and see what bonuses are available to you, and to find out how you can obtain them.
• VIP Program and VIP Promotions. See the image below for the details on how to become a VIP player. Being a VIP allows you to obtain different kinds of  bonuses including a 595% bonus for slots and keno games. Just visit the VIP Promotions page for the details. The promotions being offered may change.
• Referral Bonus. Slots of Vegas also has a player referral program that allows you to earn as much as 50 USD in cash. All you need to do is to go to the Cashier interface, click on the Refer a Friend link, and enter the email addresses of up to 5 friends you want to refer to the site. You will get your bonus once the persons you referred to the site start making deposits to their accounts.
• Comp Points. You may also earn comp points (CP) that can be redeemed for cash at the following rate: 1 CP = 1 USD.

The Promotions page states that there is “No Playthrough” for the bonuses mentioned. However, the standard promotions rules say that bonuses have a playthrough requirement of 15x the sum of the bonus and deposit made. It is most likely that there’s really a playthrough or wagering requirement for the bonuses. It would be unbelievably extremely generous for Slots of Vegas to have none. Still, the 15x wagering requirement is relatively low.

Country Restrictions and Site Languages

This online casino accepts players from different parts of the world but it imposes restrictions on some countries. Unfortunately, there is no readily prepared list of countries deemed prohibited. You will only know that you are in a prohibited country once you sign up for an account. Nevertheless, the country drop down list you will encounter during the account registration process can serve as a clue as to which countries are banned and which ones are accepted.
