Dubbed as the “next generation bitcoin casino,” Coinroll is a bitcoin dice gambling site that provides a truly “instant play” experience. If other online casinos use “instant play” to mean playing without having to download or set up anything, Coinroll allows you to play instantly, right at the very moment you visit the Coinroll website. This is because this bitcoin gambling site does not require you to register for an account. Just make a deposit and you can immediately proceed to playing.
Coinroll was introduced in April 2013 and is regarded as one of the first off-the-chain bitcoin gambling sites. Despite being relatively new in the online gambling business, it offers features that are bound to attract new players. For one, it has a high payout percentage or low house edge. Its minimum deposit requirement is basically just 1 satoshi. It also accepts players from the United States and other parts of the world.
Additionally, Coinroll is cryptographically verifiable. The fairness of the game can be proven by any player or anyone interested in whether or not the results on Coinroll are being manipulated. This gambling site also provides an API for advanced players.

No Account Registration Required But Username and Password Needed
Coinroll does not require players to sign up for an account. Everyone automatically gets an account by simply visiting the site. You just have to click on the Play link on the top part of the site. You will then be brought to a page which is essentially your account dashboard and game interface. This account, however, is only going to be fully activated or made fully yours once you make a deposit. Without a deposit, the user ID and password you find when you click on the Details button will not be made active. Hence, if you try to use these login details to log in, you will get the prompt shown below:
Unlike other websites that provide a unique URL or personal address for login, what Coinroll provides is a set of automatically generated login details. Click on the gray Details button to the right and you will see your user ID and password. This is what what we mean by not requiring an account registration but needing a username and password for logging in.
Coinroll has a login page just like most other bitcoin gambling sites. The difference, though, is that you are automatically granted a set of user ID and password so you can proceed to logging in. Again, take note that this account will only become fully created (the user ID and password activated) once you make your first deposit. If you have not made any deposit yet, you will not be able to use your user ID and password to log in to your account so don’t bother saving them yet.
You can change your account login details later on to make them easier to remember.
In case your account has already been fully activated (you already made a deposit) and you forget your login details, you need to contact the support team to help you recover your account. The contact addresses are presented in the Player Support section of this Coinroll review.
The Coinroll Game
Coinroll has 8 predefined games that come with varying win odds, multipliers, and maximum bet limits. The pre-defined games are shown in the screenshot below. It’s similar to how other bitcoin dice games work. You just have to choose a game, input your bet amount, and click on the Roll button. The highest possible prize you can win is your bet amount (maximum of 0.000012) multiplied by 64,880.
You have the option to create a custom game, wherein you can enter a number between 1 to 64,000 as your prediction (that coin roll result will be less than the number you set). The win odds, multiplier, and maximum bet amounts will then automatically be adjusted. However, the maximum prize that can be won will not change. The custom game only allows you to make a bet lower than 60,000, which results in a lower multiplier and a slightly higher maximum bet. The lowest bet amount you can enter is 0.00001 BTC.
The custom game you create, by the way, can be added to the list of pre-defined games on the game interface. Just go to the lower right corner of the game page and add the custom game you created. This makes it convenient to repeatedly play your custom game without having to enter your custom number over and over again.
Coinroll Game Software, Fairness, and House Edge
The Coinroll website does not mention anything about the software it uses for its game. However, we are inclined to write in this Coinroll review that it uses its proprietary software. The good thing is that this game software is developed to be provably fair. The site has a bet verification page where you can do a bet ID lookup. Verifying a bet involves the use of the day’s secret (a string of characters) and the last deposit’s transaction ID. The secrets and secret hashes are published on the site (links available to the right side of the verification page).
Coinroll has a house edge of only 1%, which is pretty standard for most good dice gambling sites. This means that the payout rate is at 99%. It’s certainly not the lowest house edge among the dice sites we have reviewed so far. Rollin.io, for instance, has a house edge that can be reduced to 0.8% based on the player level.
API for Advanced Players
Advanced players will likely appreciate Coinroll’s API, an interface that works over https for enabling the depositing of bitcoins, querying of account details, placing of bets, and processing of withdrawals. This creates a custom playing experience although some tinkering will be needed.
Coinroll Is Not Mobile-Friendly
Unfortunately, Coinroll does not have a mobile-friendly website. While the site can still be viewed and the game played using most mobile devices, the playing experience is not something we can consider mobile-friendly. Also, Coinroll does not have mobile apps for either Android or iOS.
Currencies, Deposits, and Withdrawals on Coinroll
Coinroll is a bitcoin-only dice gambling site. You can only make deposits and withdrawals in bitcoins.
Making deposits is a straightforward process. You just have to click on the blue Deposit button to see your personal deposit address. You can also click on the Show QR Code button to display a QR code you can scan with your mobile device to make it easier making mobile bitcoin deposits.
When it comes to withdrawals, a minimum withdrawal amount of 0.0000543 BTC is set. This withdrawal amount also cannot be less than 10% of the balance you have in your account. As such, you can only make withdrawals if you have a balance of 0.000543 BTC. Making withdrawals, just like in making deposits, is similarly fast and straightforward. You just have to enter your bitcoin address and the amount you want to withdraw.
Coinroll allows players to make unconfirmed deposits and play right away. However, these deposits need to be confirmed before withdrawals can be made. If you deposit 5 BTC or less, you need 1 confirmation. If your deposit is higher than 5 BTC but less than 20 BTC, you need 2 confirmations. You will require 3 confirmations for deposits higher than 20 BTC but lower than 580 BTC. On the other hand, if your deposit is above 50 BTC, 6 confirmations will be required.
Coinroll Bonuses and Other Promotions
Unfortunately, Coinroll does not offer bonuses or promotions. It has no deposit bonuses. It does not have a referral or affiliate program. Also worth noting is the fact that it does not have a free bitcoin or satoshi faucet, something that is commonly offered by most other bitcoin dice gambling sites. If you don’t have bitcoins, you can’t play on Coinroll.
Coinroll Player Support
Player support on Coinroll is provided only through two channels: email and Twitter. You can send your questions, complaints, or other concerns using the following email address: [email protected]. You may also follow Coinroll on Twitter (@Coinrollcom) and send tweets or direct messages.
Country Restrictions
Coinroll’s website does not specify countries that are banned from signing up and playing on Coinroll. There are a number of online sources that Coinroll that say that this site accepts players from the United States. Still, we want to state in this Coinroll review that the standard requirements for players are presumed to be applicable. These requirements are as follows: that the player is at least 18 years old and that there are no laws that prohibit online wagering on sites like Coinroll.
Coinroll License, Regulation, and Security
There is no licensing and regulation information presented on the Coinroll website. Under the site’s News page, though, as of April 11, 2025, Coinroll acknowledged the problem of theft in the balances of some players. An investigation has been undertaken and Coinroll claims that measures have been implemented to boost the site’s security. This is the only information we found on the site that is related to security. We’re not sure if this is a good or bad thing, whether it’s good that they’re trying to address a recently discovered issue or it’s bad that it’s only recently that they are adding security features. As of the time this Coinroll review was written, the planned option for two-factor authentication is not yet in place.
