DiceCoin shares something common with a number of dice gambling sites: the no-registration scheme, albeit a little differently. You don’t have to undergo the registration process here. What happens is that once you visit the DiceCoin website, you are automatically given an account. You can find the details of your automatically generated account on the upper right side of the homepage (as shown below). You also get an automatically generated password.

There is no email address required to maintain a DiceCoin account. Everything related to DiceCoin is undertaken through the DiceCoin website and your bitcoin or cryptocurrency wallet. This non-need for an email address, however, can be both advantageous and disadvantageous. On one hand, you may like that you no longer have to do any email confirmation but on the other, you may find it inconvenient when you have to reset your password because you forgot it. You can’t easily recover your account if you forget your password. You need to contact the DiceCoin admin to recover your lost or forgotten login details.

You can not nominate your own password or change the password given with your account. You will really have to stick with the random characters decided by DiceCoin for your password. The best you can do is to keep refreshing your password (through the refresh button beside it on the homepage) until you come with with something that’s easier to remember.

Anyway, you can log in to your account through the Login link at the bottom part of the DiceCoin website. We wish DiceCoin can put this login link on top or come up with a more conspicuous login button near the upper portion of the site. It’s a little confusing because when you click on the login name on the homepage, you will be taken to a page where you can fill out an “Input User Login” field. Many players may think that this is where the username should be entered but it’s not the case. You really have to look for the login link to be able to enter your username and password.

Account Dashboard / User Interface

The DiceCoin account dashboard or user interface in general makes use of modal windows or pop-up windows within the page. It’s actually responsive and intuitive. We have nothing to criticize in it except maybe for the login issue we already mentioned earlier. Also, even though the tables for Recent Bets is continuously being updated, it did not cause our web browser to freeze or take up a lot of computing resources in the same way Luckybit, for example, did.

The DiceCoin Game

The DiceCoin game mechanics are simple. You just have to deposit you cryptocurrency, select a game, enter your bet amount, and click on the Roll Dice button.  As already mentioned earlier, there are only 11 game configurations (the “game” to select) to choose from. These are the 11 options presented to you when you click on the Game portion under the Manual Bet section of the game interface. The 11 configurations are as follows: <10, <100, <500, <1,000, <2,500, <5,000, <7,500, <9,000, <9,700, and <9,800. Each comes with a specific chance percentage, payout rate, and max bet amount. The prize to be won is obviously the game bet amount entered multiplied by the payout rate. Payouts can reach as high as 990x of the bet amount.

DiceCoin Game Software, Fairness, and House Edge

DiceCoin does not mention anything about its software on its website. We are inclined to write in this DiceCoin review that this site uses a proprietary dice software. It’s great to know that this proprietary software, though, is provably fair.

The fairness provability of DiceCoin is detailed on its Verifying a Bet page. Bets are verified through the DiceCoin secret and the transaction ID of the last deposit made. Different site secrets are used every day. The DiceCoin secret is only released after the day ends.

DiceCoin appears to have an attractive house edge. It is, as stated on the website, set at only 1%.  This house edge is close to the 1% to 0.8% of Rollin.io. It’s a good enough house edge that complements that simplicity of DiceCoin to make it more attractive to new players of online bitcoin dice games.

DiceCoin.io Is Supposedly Mobile-Friendly

We tried DiceCoin.io on a few of mobile devices and it looks like what Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test generates. Google considers the site mobile-friendly. We’re not sure in this DiceCoin review, though, if we can agree with Google’s assessment. DiceCoin does not perfectly fit in the screens of mobile devices. It does not appear optimized for mobile use. It actually looks just like how it looks on desktops or laptops. There is no attempt to make it more suitable for a swipe-and-tap type of navigation or mobile game playing.

Well, it can actually be played on mobile devices. You just have to go through the hassles of having to pan left and right to to see the entirety of the page. It does affect the playing experience a little.

Withdrawals can only be done in cryptocurrencies. The fiat currencies deposited are converted to the chosen cryptocurrency. The minimum withdrawal amount is 0.001 BTC, 0.1 LTC, or 1,000 DOGE and should not be less than 20% of the current balance. That means you can only withdraw if you have at least 0.005 BTC, 0.5 LTC, or 5,000 DOGE. All withdrawals are charged a fee of 0.0001 BTC, 0.001 LTC, or 1 DOGE. Withdrawals that are below 2 BTC are instantly released while those above 2 BTC could take up to 24 hours to be processed.

DiceCoin.io Promotions

DiceCoin.io offers daily bonuses to players. These bonuses are not comparable to what can be obtained from other leading online casinos but are still good enough bonuses to have. There are two of them:

Just like other dice sites, DiceCoin also has a faucet system that provides free satoshis. It uses a reCAPTCHA system that only requires a single click to generate the free bitcoins. This faucet provides 0.00001 BTC, 0.001 LTC, or 10 DOGE. This faucet can only be tapped every 9 or 10 minutes (560-600 seconds). We’re not sure about the exact interval because nothing is stated on the site and we have not received a response to our inquiry. We’re only basing this figure on the prompt we get as we attempt to claim the free satoshis from the faucet.

DiceCoin.io only provides player support through email. Send your questions to [email protected]. If you have complaints or other important concerns, the email address to use is [email protected]. Dispute resolution is initiated through this email support system.

DiceCoin has a chat board but it is mostly useless. It takes time for your message to be reflected on the chat board and it’s highly likely that nobody would bother to respond to your messages. The dicebot on the chat board only greets new members and provides updates on winners. During the time we observed the chat board for this DiceCoin review, there had been no actual chat happening. Players just keep posting messages and the chatbot also proceeds with its own business. No meaningful and timely interaction is happening. It would be better to not expect any form of support through the player chat board.
