Coinbet Review

Coinbet claims to be “the premier bitcoin casino.” On its homepage, it cites instant deposits and withdrawals, over 400 casino games, live games, live support, and a provably fair dice game as its selling points. It features games from five of the most popular online game software providers at present.

Coinbet.ag appears to be the recent incarnation of Coinbet that used to serve the US online gambling market. However, there are many significant changes here. There aren’t as many games and bonuses in this site. The sportsbook section has disappeared. Some of the things actually mentioned on the Coinbet.ag website also don’t exist.

It is also a letdown that customer support on this site is far from adequate and that the site does not seem to be well-organized. Links to information information can’t be easily found. We had to resort to using advanced Google search within the site to find important pages that have no links from the homepage.

Signing Up for an Account – It’s Super Fast!

Registering for an account on Coinbet is as quick as quick can get. You only need to enter your username and password, and answer a simple question (in lieu of a CAPTCHA). Once you click on the green Create New Account button, your account is instantly created. That’s it. No email verification or confirmation is required. We did not receive an email regarding the successful account registration until an hour or so later.

We just have to note in this Coinbet review that we actually failed to log in to our supposedly successfully created account on our first attempt as we encountered the error shown in the image below. We thought the problem had something to do with the script blocker we had on our browser. We temporarily disabled it but we still couldn’t access the account dashboard. We tried logging in on a different browser without any script blocker installed and we finally got to log in. Apparently, if you have a script blocker, whether or not it’s blocking specific scripts associated with the site, you might encounter a login failure. You may want to use a browser without a script blocker to be sure that you won’t encounter login issues.

Account Dashboard

The Coinbet account dashboard is slightly complex. There seems to be a lot going on in the page. Don’t be intimidated by these, though. This dashboard isn’t really as difficult to use as it appears. It’s not as familiar as what most other online casino account dashboards look like but it’s not really that complicated.

The account dashboard initially shows your account wallet page by default. It’s here where you can track your chips, VIP club activity, and affiliate commissions. There’s a separate tab for viewing details of your transactions. You can then proceed to editing your account details or monitoring your bonuses.

We really like that this dashboard provides details regarding the login sessions. It’s a good way of detecting if somebody was able to access your account without your knowledge or permission. It even has an Events tab that shows a comprehensive list of activities you have been doing with your account.

Again, it’s not a familiar dashboard but you shouldn’t find it difficult finding your way around. Almost everything here is self explanatory. Anyway, you can also enable two-factor authentication for your account if you want to.

The Coinbet Games

Coinbet claims to offer more than 400 games. Of course, for this Coinbet review we are not just going to take claims as they are. As usual, we did our manual count to verify the actual number of games. As we have already stated in one of our reviews before, there are some sites that claim to offer a lot of games when the actual number they have available is just a fraction of what is being claimed.

• There are more than 150 slot games on the site (152 to be exact). These include 3D slots, progressive jackpot slots, 5-reel slots, and 3-reel slots.
• A total of 26 Table Games are available on the site. These include multiple varieties of Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Baccarat, and Table Poker.
• For those who love Video Poker, there are 13 games available. These are single and multi-hand games. Some of the notable titles are Jacks or Better, Joker Poker, Deuces Wild, All American Video Poker, Five Draw Poker, and Bonus Deluxe.
• Coinbet has 5 live casino games.

So there you have it. There aren’t 400 games on Coinbet. It’s just less than 200 games.

Nevertheless, we really like how the games are presented on this site. They can be viewed according to the type of game or according to their software provider. They can also be viewed based on bet limits (high bet limit or normal bet limit). The game thumbnails load quickly and, sorry for being trivial, but we have to say that the layout and images used for the game gallery seem so lively that we feel like it’s engaging going over them. There are also game descriptions in the respective pages for each game.

There’s a search bar on top but it does not seem to function properly. It can find some games sometimes based on keyword matches but most of the time it fails to return results. Apparently, the games have not been tagged properly.

Game loading time is around the average for online casinos. For graphics and aesthetics, we can say they’re around good to great.

If you have have not signed up for an account or if you are not logged into your account, the games except for the live casino games on Coinbet can still be played. The games default to Play Money mode so you can try them out without having to make deposits.

IMPORTANT: We have mentioned in the introductory part of this Coinbet review, quoting what was written on the site’s homepage, that a provably fair dice game is being offered. Unfortunately, we did not find this dice game as we explored the game collections of Coinbet. The Place Dice button on the homepage only points back to the homepage, essentially just reloading the page. Also, once you have logged in to your account, this supposedly 1%-house-edge dice game is no longer shown on the homepage.

Coinbet Game Software and Fairness

The games on Coinbet are supplied by BetSoft Gaming, Endorphina, Ezugi, and GameArt. They are not provably fair. They don’t readily provide hashes, server seeds, and other details necessary for confirming the fairness of the game results. However, most of the game software providers used by Coinbet are trustworthy names in the online gaming industry so are not that keen to question the fairness of the games being offered here.

Coinbet Is Mobile-Friendly

Coinbet has a mobile-friendly website, which makes for a mobile-friendly gaming experience. While it does not have dedicated apps for iOS, Android, or Windows mobile devices, the mobile-friendly site is good enough in enabling mobile gaming.

Currencies, Deposits, and Withdrawals

Coinbet currently accepts only bitcoins and litecoins. That’s at least according to a May 12, 2015 post on its blog/support page. However, there are plans to accept more cryptocurrencies or altcoins. The amounts used on the website and games are set to BTC by default.

Deposits are expected to be instant but for larger amounts, the deposit transactions may take up to 24 hours or longer. Minimum deposit amount is only 0.001 BTC or 0.07 LTC. If you send a deposit lower than these minimum limits, the amount will be held until such time you will able to send the full minimum amount.

Since the currencies accepted are only bitcoins and litecoins, deposits and withdrawals are done through wallet to wallet transactions. The wallet addresses for sending your deposits are readily presented on the homepage of your account dashboard, in the Main Balance section.

Coinbet Bonuses and Promotions

There are only three bonuses offered by  Coinbet. All of which are deposit bonuses.

• 100% First Deposit Bonus of up to 1 BTC + 1 Free Spin. To avail of this bonus, you need to contact support. Minimum deposit required to get this bonus is 0.05 BTC. Wagering requirement: 20x.
• 50% Second Deposit Bonus of up to 1 BTC. + 1 Free Spin Similar to the first deposit bonus, you need to contact support to get this bonus. The minimum deposit required is 0.05 BTC. The wagering or rollover requirement is also 20x.
• 25% Third Deposit Bonus of up to 1 BTC. You are also required to contact customer support to get this bonus. The minimum deposit required is still 0.05 BTC while the wagering requirement is also at 20x.

We are not sure how much are the different games’ contribution to meeting the wagering requirement. What is only certain is that slot games contribute 100%. Every bet made on slots is going to contribute to the completion of the 20x wagering or playthrough requirement.

Coinbet, moreover, has an affiliate program. All registered players are automatically eligible for this program. The affiliate link is readily shown on the account dashboard. The commissions vary from 20% to 50% depending on player tier.

VIP Program

Coinbet has a VIP Player’s Club which offers a number of benefits. There are 7 main VIP levels, namely Bronze, Silver, Gold, Emerald, Ruby, Diamond, and Master. Except for the Master level, these VIP levels each have 3 sub-levels (i.e. Silver I, Silver, II, Silver III, Gold I, Gold II, Gold III, etc).

To advance to the different VIP levels, you need status points. You earn 1 status point every 50 chips you bet. That means 1 chip is equal to 0.02 Status Point or 1,000 chips is equivalent to 20 Status Points.

The following table describes the different VIP levels with the corresponding Status Point requirements, rewards, and extras.

A betback is a percentage of the bet that will be given back to your account balance. It is paid as Coinbet Points. The lossback, on the other hand, is similar to the cashback program offered by most online casinos. It is also paid in the form of Coinbet points. Coinbet Points can then be used to redeem chips or other prizes.

Coinbet Player Support

The Coinbet homepage says that email support is available 24/7 while live chat is available Mondays through Fridays. However, we couldn’t find the live chat button anywhere on the website. We also couldn’t find an email address, let alone a Contact Us or Support page. We managed to find a “Contact Support” link somewhere on the site but it points to a “Page not found” page.

The only way we could think of to contact Coinbet was by replying to the account registration confirmation email we belatedly received. The email address for that registration confirmation is [email protected]. So far, as of the time this Coinbet review was posted, we have not received a response for our message to this email address yet.

Coinbet Supports Anonymous Online Gambling

While Coinbet’s account dashboard has fields for filling out personal details, it seems players are not obliged to update these. We checked the Coinbet Terms of Service and we found nothing there that requires players to provide proofs of identity before deposits and withdrawals can be made. The Coinbet website also expressly states that anonymous accounts, along with encrypted data and 2-factor authentication, are provided to help protect personal information.

Countries Served and Site Languages

Coinbet does not have a list of restricted countries. What its website only says is that players should be of legal age and should ascertain that there are no laws in their respective countries or jurisdictions that prohibit online gambling on sites like Coinbet. Considering this site’s history, we checked with US proxy and the website works fine.

The texts on the Coinbet website are supposedly viewable in different language versions. However, we are not that sure of the language translations here. The translations are automatically generated via Google Translate. It’s common knowledge that Google Translate is far from perfect and is not even competent enough in providing appropriate translations in most languages.

Coinbet License, Regulation, and Security

Unfortunately, we couldn’t find information about Coinbet’s licensing and regulation on its website. We also haven’t received replies to our email inquiries.

When it comes to security, Coinbet provides the guarantee that all accounts and transactions are kept secure. Accounts may also be protected further, as mentioned, with two-factor authentication. The site is fully encrypted using SSL technology. Coinbet also claims that it uses the same software and security of the Winning Poker Network. To avoid bitcoin theft, deposited bitcoins are held in cold storage and only a minimal amount of bitcoins is in hot storage to address the regular funding requirements of the site.
