Self-Exclusion From Crypto Casinos

Offshore crypto casinos are typically not covered by national self-exclusion programs. To stop gambling there, you will need to use the casino’s exclusion tools, block the sites on your devices, and avoid temptation through practical means. There is currently no way to self-exclude from all crypto casinos at once. Offshore crypto casinos generally exist outside national self-exclusion programs, so any block you establish only applies to that operator, or only on the device you exclude it from. Cryptospinners reports that some platforms participate in industry-wide exclusion programs, but they don't cover all operators.

As far as we can see, complete universal exclusion is not available. Which means that apart from operator and device-based exclusion, it is important to put practical barriers in your way to prevent self-sabotage. In the first instance, blocking your account on the crypto casinos you have gambled with just distracts your impulse to go all in. If you decide to open up a new account, it's easy to return. So it is, at best, a first step.

Step 1: Block your accounts Using a decision shaped by a clear disruption, your blood may feel hot as it courses through your veins. But decide, on a cool head, it is time to self-exclude. On each crypto casino you have signed up for, you should:

  1. Go to account settings, password, and inactivate it.
  2. That prevents you from re-accessing it and restarting, within that window. In crypto casinos, you may need additional measures to prevent yourself returning.
  3. You may see an option to "delete" your account. Deleting prevents even an administrator from reactivating the account. Self-exclusion cuts access for a set interval, after which you're able to access it again. So learn to make a real decision by deleting your account. Be disciplined.

Crypto casinos may provide self-exclusion periods from six months to five years, and some do permanent exclusion. Be aware of what it will stop. The exclusion prevents account access, deposits, and all gaming activities. For some, that's enough. For others, additional measures are needed. Some platforms do participate in industry-wide exclusion programs. But they don't cover all the operators. So blocking your account on the crypto casinos you have gambled on is a start, but may not be enough on its own.

Step 2: Use device-level gambling blocks BetBlocker and Gamban are two software blockers in this category that work to prevent you accessing gambling sites and apps on registered devices. However, these tools are not guaranteed to survive, for instance, device-level reinstall or a browser reset. This is the stage when, psyched up, in a principled focusing rage against your addiction that lasts quicker than a child's sugar rush, you religiously apply this to every device you use.

After a day, or when someone lends you a device, do you follow through or look for a loophole? After a week, or a month, is every device blocked, and is that block stable?
