Betmania is a gambling site based in Costa Rica. It supports bitcoin betting and supposedly offers four online gambling options: sports betting, casino games, live dealer games, and a racebook. With its attractive website, many would likely be enticed to sign up with this gambling site that supports BTC betting.

The casino claims that its software is designed to exceed the industry standards giving a wealthy, yet easy to use platform that saves gamblers time when requesting credits or processing gambling requests. It also claims to distinguish itself from other gambling sites with its easy betting process, quick payments and courteous service. The rules and mechanics are clearly explained on the site. There’s a good deal of information about the games presented on the site.

However, we found quite a number of drawbacks. These drawbacks might be temporary but we just couldn’t quickly disregard them while doing this Betmania review. Read along to learn about the positive and not so favorable attributes of this online casino.

Convenient Account Registration

Signing up for a casino account on Betmania is fast and simple. The online registration form that you need to fill only asks for basic details that you should be able to put in quickly. Unfortunately, at the time we were doing this Betmania review, the registration of new players appeared to have been suspended. We couldn’t sign up for an account. Hence, we couldn’t access and scrutinize the account dashboard and other aspects of actually having and using a Betmania account. This Betmania review, as such, is based only on the available information on the site. We will update this review once account registration is opened to new players.

The Betmania Games

There is a wide range of online gambling options on Betmania. Aside from sports betting, it also offers various casino games, contests and a racebook.

The sportsbook section features pro and college basketball, baseball, hockey, football, soccer in different parts of the world, tennis, boxing, motor sports, mixed martial arts, cricket, and golf. For the Casino games section, Betmania also has a total of 64 casino games grouped as follows: Card Games, Casual Games, Roulette, Slots, and Video Poker.

• You will find 10 games in the Card category, such as Hi-Lo Switch, Baccarat, Multihand Blackjack, Blackjack Surrender, Pontoon, and Double Exposure.
• The Casual category has 4 games. These are Scratch Dice, Minesweeper, Heads and Tails, and Horse Racing Flash.
• There are 6 games in the Roulette category, including French Roulette, American Roulette, and European Roulette.
• For the Slots category, there are 28 games. These are mostly jackpot slot games such as Desert Treasure, Book of Pyramids, Princess of Sky, West Town, Fantasy Park, Crazy Starter, Cherry Fiesta, Hawaii Cocktails, Scroll of Adventure, Lucky Sweets, Sport Slot, Princess Royal, Brave Viking, Lucky Lady’s Clover, Platinum Lightning, Lucky Blue, and Aztec Magic.
• Lastly, the Video Poker category has a total of 12 games. These include Jacks or Better, Wild Texas, Oasis Poker, Trey Poker, Caribbean Poker, Casino Hold’em, Texas Hold’em, and Let It Ride.

All of the games on the website have Play for Fun versions. You can try playing the games without having to make a deposit. The game load in pop-up windows. Apparently, only one game can be loaded at a time.

Betmania also supposedly offers live casino games. There are three live dealer games presented on the site. These are live roulette, blackjack and baccarat. Since bitcoins are accepted here, we can consider these as bitcoin live casino games. Unfortunately, at the time we were doing this Betmania review, the live games refuse to load. What’s on the site are just the rules, bet details, and other information about the games. We suspect this is just a glitch, just like the account registration problem we mentioned earlier.

The games load relatively quickly. They may not offer the best graphics or aesthetics for an online casino game but they are still enjoyable. They still sport some modern look and the controls are intuitive.

On the other hand, just like the live games, Betmania’s racebook was not working at the time we were doing this Betmania review. The page only shows the text “Loading” on a white space. The options to the left are not clickable. We would like to presume that these are just temporary failures on the site and that they can be addressed soon.

Betmania Game Software and Fairness

Betmania uses software developed by SoftSwiss. It’s the same software used by other popular online casinos such as BetPhoenix, Skybook, Vegas to Macau, and Bogart Casino.

The games are Flash-based. They are arguably not as efficient as HTML5 games but we have not encountered issues in loading and playing with them.

According to Betmania’s FAQ page, it is licensed by the Government of Costa Rica to undertake a gambling operation by phone and online. There are not details regarding the license number  The site guarantees the security and confidentiality of transactions and player accounts. Betmania.ag claims to employ the “most advanced security technology available.” Also, as a matter of policy, Betmania will not disclose player information to third parties.

Based on the online gambling options offered, Betmania can be considered a good choice. It offers a decent enough collection of games including a sportsbook. Unfortunately, it is mired with glitches. As mentioned, we couldn’t sign up for an account with this online casino at the time we did this review. Its live dealer games and racebook also don’t load. We sent a few inquiries to clarify these but we have not received a response yet at the time this review was posted.

Nevertheless, Betmania is a promising online casino. Once its important parts are restored or once the glitches are addressed, it can definitely be a good online gambling option for newbies and experienced players alike.
